The Law of Jante

The first and really important lesson about Sweden is to know how the Law of Jante works.
Yes it´s a law and yes we follow it, but it´s all inofficial.
Fuck federal laws, this is the shit!

Everything is tinted by this law, if you want to be successfull and make an carrier don´t follow it, but if you want to make friends and not alienate half the inhabitants you need to know how this works.
Otherwise you`ll se hatred in a new kind of shape.

The Law of Jante also applies in other Nordic countrys such as Denmark and Norway but Sweden is the leading country.
Those who assert to the influence of the Jante Law often maintain that the values of the Danish and other Nordic welfare states can be credited to the persistence of the Jante Law, in particular their stress on social equality and their emphasis on fairness for all.

Nowdays the law of Jante is something people doesn´t wish to acknowledge, it´s considered oldf ashioned to follow this but we have it in our veins.

Here are the 10 main rules;
1. Don't think that you are special.
2. Don't think that you are of the same standing as us.
3. Don't think that you are smarter than us.
4. Don't fancy yourself as being better than us.
5. Don't think that you know more than us.
6. Don't think that you are more important than us.
7. Don't think that you are good at anything.
8. Don't laugh at us.
9. Don't think that anyone cares about you.
10. Don't think that you can teach us anything.

This is not to be mistaken for bad self-esteem, you got to have a good self-esteem but you can´t show it to others.
If you think like the law people will dislike you, if you live the law people will love you.
Confusing?
Baby we´re just getting started!
